ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Cisco Family Connection is currently available to regular Cisco employees only. We are continually accepting applications for enrollment. CFC can accommodate up to 450 full and part time children. The actual number of children in each age group may vary depending on program needs, however there are approximately 64 infant spaces, 64 toddler spaces, 104 two year old spaces,180 preschool spaces (age 3-5), and 24 kindergarten spaces.
Register Your Child
In order to apply for a space for your child in CFC, please complete this application to register your family to be on the wait-pool. When you submit this application, you will receive confirmation of its receipt by Bright Horizons that will allow you to choose which wait-pool your family will like to be on:
ACTIVE WAIT-POOL
All families on the active wait-pool will be given priority for a space at Cisco Family Connection before any family listed on our inquiry wait-pool. If you would like to be on the active wait-pool, a $50.00 non-refundable, registration fee is required within 48 hours (excluding weekends and holiday hours) from the time you submitted the application.
For families on the active wait-pool, we will be notifying families as spaces become available on or around your requested start date. We do our utmost to provide this offer one month in advance of your start date. Please be aware that this is not always possible as we are continuously trying to place all families on our wait-pool! You will receive an email titled "Childcare Enrollment Offer." At this time you will be given 48 hours to accept this offer and confirm with your first tuition payment and payroll deduction authorization form.
INQUIRY WAIT-POOL
If we do not receive your $50.00 non-refundable registration fee within 48 hours, your application will automatically be placed on the inquiry wait-pool.
For families on the inquiry wait-pool, we will be notifying families as spaces become available on or around your requested start date AFTER all families on the active wait-pool have been made offers. We do our utmost to provide this offer one month in advance of your start date. Please be aware that this is not always possible as we are continuously trying to place all families on our active wait-pool! If we are able to accommodate a space for your family, you'll receive an email titled "Childcare Enrollment Offer." At this time your family will be given 48 hours to accept this offer and confirm with your first tuition payment and payroll deduction authorization form.

CISCO FAMILY CONNECTION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Purpose
Assist Cisco employees to afford high quality child care at Cisco Family Connection, by providing financial assistance on a sliding scale basis.
Eligibility / How To Apply
Eligibility is based on the age of the child, the number of children in a family, the cost of tuition, and the family’s annual adjusted gross income. The scholarship program is especially beneficial to families with more than one child enrolled at the center. All employees who are offered admission to Cisco Family Connection on a Full Time schedule (at least 5 days, 10 hours) are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Employees are asked to provide a completed application, their most recent Federal Income Tax form and the last 2 pay check stubs for the employee and spouse or partner. Please submit these forms to Monica McCarthy, Director in the south lobby of the center or by soft copy to momccart@cisco.com.

You may download the Scholarship Eligibility chart here. 20 KB
Scholarship funds are distributed to all employees who meet the eligibility criteria, as long as sufficient funds are available. If the scholarship program is oversubscribed, the center will create a waiting list for applicants.
How it Works
Qualifying employees who have been granted scholarship assistance are notified of their monthly tuition per child. Employees pay the discounted tuition through payroll deduction.
Employees will apply annually for the next year’s scholarship in the beginning of August.
After the first year, families who have received a Cisco child care scholarship in prior years receive first priority in scholarship allocation to ensure continuity of quality child care.
Scholarships as Taxable Income
Please note that you will recognize taxable compensation if you participate in the scholarship program. Despite the additional taxes, the scholarship program offers an excellent sliding scale discount to families who qualify.
Each pay period, Bright Horizons will report the scholarship taxable earnings to Cisco Payroll. Payroll will withhold State and Federal taxes at the "supplemental income" rate (6% and 28% respectively) along with FICA taxes. Under some circumstances, the scholarship dollars might be considered an eligible Dependent Day Care FSA expense.
