Welcome to Bright Horizons at the Plainview School. Since 1974, our approach to early learning has prepared thousands of children for accelerated learning in elementary school and has earned Plainview School its reputation for excellence. Plainview School has been voted one of the Top 10 Louisville Preschool Programs from 1980 - 2005 by Business First, Louisville. Plainview School proudly joined the Bright Horizons family in 2005 becoming Bright Horizons at Plainview School. Our center is located in the heart of the community of Plainview on Louisville's East side. We have the capacity to serve over 200 children from six weeks to twelve years old. In every classroom, from infant to school-age, our highly skilled faculty provide the experiences and environment from which children learn. At Bright Horizons @ The Plainview School, enrichment programs are a valued part of our daily curriculum. These programs include music, piano, and Spanish. Additional enrichment programs such as KidFit and dance are available.
Our music program incorporates both English and Spanish, teaches the children traditional children's songs, in-tune singing with high and low voices, as well as games, movement and drama. Our music and piano teacher has been with Bright Horizons @ The Plainview School for six years and has been teaching children throughout the United States music and piano for over thirty years! Piano class is one of the programs that the Preschool/PreKindergarten looks most forward to every week. Piano incorporates hand/eye coordination, finger strength, creative expression, basic intro to musical notes, intro to composers, establishing left from right, and so much more.
